Time to Learn About Maps

Looks sharp, eh? And so easy to do. I am doing a little research into mapping tools for an upcoming visit to the American Indian Journalism Institute, underwritten by the Freedom Forum’s Diversity Institute, and visited the ESRI mapping site.

These maps took seconds to do and to then embed — and they are interactive. (Go ahead, try to wiggle them around.) The thing I like about this site is that it is a database with a mapping API. Other sites lack the data. Become a ninja on this site and you can use your own data sets, Then we will really have something! Something to note: These are embedded in a WordPress.org site. They wouldn’t go into my WordPress.com sites. I think you need to be set up on your own server — not the WordPress one that comes with the free blog. Space issues.
